Economic Development Commission

The Economic Development Commission consists of five members appointed by the City Council. The powers, duties and responsibilities of the Economic Development Commission are set forth in Ordinance No. 1049.

The Economic Development Commission sits as an advisory body to the City Council on the needs of existing businesses and the availability of economic development opportunities and resources. The commission is also responsible for providing guidance on business retention, business expansion, business marketing and technology related matters.

Current Economic Development Commission members are:

  • Alfred Reyes, Jr.
  • Kenneth Chiang

Meetings

Regular Economic Development Commission meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, in the City Council Chamber (beginning August, 2025).
