The City of Cerritos will launch a new, full-service online permitting portal for the departments of Community Development and Public Works on Monday, October 26. 

The update will help enhance service to the Cerritos community by streamlining the permitting and approval process for residents and businesses.

“The City is excited to offer a new online permitting and approval portal to better support Cerritos’ residential and commercial needs,” said Mayor Lynda Provido Johnson. “This update will modernize how Cerritos does business while fulfilling Strategic Plan objectives related to technology, economic development, and infrastructure.”    

The new online portal transitions permitting and planning approvals for residential, commercial and industrial development projects, excavation and encroachment work, building and safety services and inspections, and trees and landscaping approvals. 

In preparation for the online portal launch, Community Development and Public Works permitting and approval processes will be unavailable from Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. City staff will be available for general inquiries. The new portal will be launched on Monday, October 26.
