Cerritos City Council Honors Veterans With Reserved Parking at City Facilities

The Cerritos City Council approved a Veterans Reserved Parking Program at its regular meeting on July 27 following a presentation by staff. The program for veterans would consist of two conveniently located parking spaces designated at eight City facilities.

“Our veterans have given so much in service to ensure the freedoms that we all enjoy,” said Mayor Lynda Provido Johnson. “These reserved parking spaces are a simple gesture that carry a big meaning: our community sees you, values you, and thanks you.”

The Veterans Reserved Parking Program will be effective upon the installation of reserved parking signage. The reserved spaces will be located at the Cerritos Civic Center, Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, Cerritos Olympic Swim and Fitness Center/Cerritos Park East, Cerritos Senior Center at Pat Nixon Park, Cerritos Sports Complex, Heritage Park, Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course, and Liberty Park.
