Applications Open for Cerritos Senior Services Commission Members

Cerritos residents are invited to submit their application for consideration to serve on the Cerritos Senior Services Commission. The new commission was approved by the Cerritos City Council at its meeting on January 12.
Members of the Senior Services Commission are appointed by the Cerritos City Council and serve as an advisory body to the City Council. This includes researching and recommending policies, programs, and services related to senior, accessibility, and disability needs.
Eligibility includes being a Cerritos resident who is 50 years of age or older at the time of the appointment. Eligible, appointed individuals will serve a term through April 30, 2027.
To be considered for appointment to a City of Cerritos Advisory Board, an application must be submitted online at cerritos.gov/boards or in person to the Office of the City Clerk. Currently, applications are only being accepted for the Senior Services Commission and are open until all positions are filled.
Members appointed to the Senior Services Commission will be required to participate in the 2026 L.E.A.D. Cerritos program. Visit cerritos.gov/lead for more information about this program and program schedule.
