CERRITOS, CA – May 20, 2025 – Winning entries of the Cerritos Library’s 26th Annual Teen Contest featuring art, photography, poetry, and short story are available for viewing online at cerritoslibrary.us. The contests were generously sponsored by the Friends of the Cerritos Library.
The Cerritos City Council recognized the recipients at a special event in the Library’s Skyline Room on May 12.
“The artwork, photographs, stories, and poems created by the teens display their exceptional talent and creativity,” said Mayor Frank Aurelio Yokoyama.
The teens’ families joined in the celebration, along with Friends’ Board Members, teachers, principals, and Cerritos Library staff. Highlights of the evening also included a recital of winning poems by Aiden Chen, London Lopez, and Zoe Rola. Winners received gift cards to a bookstore and certificates of achievement.
