The City of Cerritos invites the community to commemorate the kickoff of the Heritage Park Play Island Renovation Project. The project will renovate a section of the play structures on the island. It is anticipated to take about three months to complete. The kickoff event will begin at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 30. Heritage Park is located at 18600 Bloomfield Avenue.

The Heritage Park Play Island Renovation project is made possible from Measure A funding from the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District, with renovations led by contractor KYA Group.  

The Heritage Park Play Island has served the community since it was first dedicated on March 6, 1977. The Play Island offers themed play structures such as a covered bridge, ship, village, and slides.
