City of Cerritos employees donated over 250 gifts and $685 worth of gift cards to help families this holiday season. The amount is the highest recorded since the City began its annual giving event.
The gifts will be distributed to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots and Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree programs. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off by the close of business on Friday, December 12 in the Toys for Tots bins at Cerritos City Hall, Cerritos Library, Cerritos Senior Center at Pat Nixon Park, Liberty Park, Cerritos Park East, and Cerritos Sheriff’s Station. Donations to the Giving Tree Program must also be delivered by the close of business on Friday, December 12 to the Cerritos Senior Center.
“My City Council colleagues and I are proud of the large quantity of donations and collective generosity shown by our employees,” said Cerritos Mayor Frank Aurelio Yokoyama. “Their compassion is a reflection of our entire community and will help brighten the holidays for local families in need.”
